- My background is in finance and political philosophy. This is my daily "blog". I write a longer column weekly which appears on Townhall and Typepad called simply Law of the Bad Premise. Just type in "Law of the Bad Premise" along with the word "Townhall" or "Typepad" in Google Search and it will direct you. I enjoy debunking the common myths of the day while keeping an open mind. I am, however, hard headed. I am happily married with 3 children in their teens and early 20s. I work in the investment business which takes up more time than I wish. My political views can be summarized as leaning libertarian but with a strong belief in the wisdom of America's Founding Fathers. Philosophies of all stripes which seek to impose their views on others are loathsome to me. I believe tolerance of intolerance is one of the world's greatest dangers today and is one short step away from causing global calamity.
